Epworth Elementary principal named UNI Educational Leadership Legacy Award winner.
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Epworth Elementary principal, Dan Butler, has been named the UNI Educational Leadership Legacy Award winner for the 2017-2018 academic year.
The Legacy Award recognizes graduates of UNI Educational Leadership programs who demonstrate exemplary practice of their program's Core Values of Leadership of Learning, Service and Change. Butler is a graduate of UNI's principal and superintendency preparation programs and is currently a doctoral student in educational leadership. This is Butler's sixth year as principal at Epworth Elementary School.
"After learning that I was selected as the recipient of the Educational Leadership Legacy award, I was humbled, honored and extremely proud of our school, community and the people I serve who have made this possible. Epworth Elementary is a great school and Western Dubuque is a tremendous district. I am blessed to work here," said Butler.
