Parent Portal – Parents have the ability to make payments to their account electronically, 24 hours per day, 7 days a week by credit or debit card. With this procedure, the account is credited immediately. Click on these instructions on how to add money on your Parent Portal Account. FOOD SERVICE PAYMENTS
Student Lunch Accounts – Each student has a personal ID number used to make purchases. If you are unsure of this PIN number please have your student ask any Food Service Member or contact Kyle Gansen at [email protected] Students in grades PK-5 will have their ID number entered by staff.
Negative Balance Accounts – When a family account balance goes below a positive balance of $5.00 per student, the computer will alert the cashier. The student will be given a friendly reminder that additional funds are needed. Grade 6-12 students exceeding a negative balance of $5.00 per student, will be offered an “alternative meal”, which will consist of a sandwich, vegetable/fruit and milk for lunch or toast, juice and milk for breakfast. This type of meal is not charged to the account.
It is our policy to NEVER deny food to students – At times, the procedure of providing an “Alternative Meal" due to unpaid account balances is necessary. The meal provided to students with a negative meal account meets the minimum dietary guidelines and is acceptable by Federal and State regulations.
IT IS THE PARENTS RESPONSIBILITY TO KEEP ACCOUNT BALANCES PAID
The District’s Negative Balance Policy is printed on the back of your information letter, available on our website or by calling the Food & Nutrition office.
